Topstep vs Lucid
One of these keeps billing you until you pass. The other asks for the fee once. I put the stored rules side by side so the monthly pain and the payout pain are both visible.
| Rule | Lucid Trading | |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | Trading Combine 50K | LucidFlex 50K |
| Price | $49/mo | $136 |
| Profit target | $3,000 | $3,000 |
| Drawdown | EOD trailing $2,000 | EOD trailing $2,000 |
| Daily loss | None required. An optional daily loss limit can be added. The payout page ties a higher cap to that add-on. | Described as off on Flex in one comparison, and as an optional checkout toggle in another. Look at the toggle. |
| Evaluation consistency | 55% of the profit target. A bigger day raises the target. A two-day pass is allowed if the best day stays at or under 55%. | 50%, with a cushion that can allow a two-day pass. |
| Funded consistency | Choice. Express Funded Standard has no consistency percent: 5 winning days of $150+. Express Funded Consistency is 40% of net profit over at least 3 days. | None. |
| Split | 90% | 90% |
| Payouts | Not a daily request on the Express Funded Account. Standard needs 5 winning days of $150+. Consistency needs 3 days inside a 40% best-day cap. Live can unlock a daily request after 30 winning days. | Any day you qualify. You need 5 days of at least $150 and positive net profit for the cycle. |
| Speed | The payout page says Aeropay can be instant after approval, ACH and Wise take 1 to 3 business days, and approval itself can take 1 to 3 business days. | Lucid's LucidFlex payout article, dated 28 Jul 2026, says funds are sent within 2 business days after approval. |
| Activation | Standard path: $149 once per Express Funded Account. The pricing FAQ lists a no-activation path at $95/month. A marketing page also showed $85 for that path. Both figures stay. | None on the Flex accounts described in Lucid's payout article. |
Start with the billing row. A subscription and a one-time fee are different bets on how long the evaluation takes you.
Then read where the consistency rule sits. A target that grows when one day is too big is a different wait from a rule that disappears after you pass.
Lucid also sells a daily account. That is a separate plan on the Lucid page, not the Flex row in this table.
