Hidden conditions to check before you buy an eval
I've been there. The account looked cheap, then one line I skipped closed it.
The sticker is the easy number. These are the lines I check before I pay.
If the daily loss limit is about 65 to 70% of the max drawdown, one bad day leaves you 30 to 40%. Day two is where accounts die. I stop myself around 50% of that room so tomorrow has the same chance as today. That's my rule, not the firm's.
An intraday trail can follow the high of an open trade. You can be green, give it back, and the floor has already stepped up. End of day only moves after the session.
A buffer is profit you have to build, and leave, before the first withdrawal. A payout cap is the ceiling on one request. A consistency rule can block the payout without failing you, and some of them reset until the best day is small enough.
Activation is a second bill after you pass. News blackouts, inactivity, and a contract cap are easy to skip on the sales page. If I didn't save the line, the firm page says so.
The firm page lists the ones I could measure from the rules I stored. Open it before you pay.
The rest of how I size a day is on my rules, and the credit-card version is on risk management.
